What makes my approach to eating for health different?

 

I always include low carb paleo in the same sentence as keto. As far as macronutrient breakdown goes, simply put, if you take the paleo diet and slightly lower the carbohydrates, you get clean keto, which to me is what constitutes a true low carb paleo style of eating. While other lifestyle factors beyond diet, including physical and emotional wellbeing, form a critical part of this equation, what I find tends to happen is that the foods that fall into both categories, that overlap - is where some of the magic happens. What that magic mostly involves is lowered insulin levels, which in turn has the ability to reverse almost any condition. Without delving into the science here, suffice it to say that after a decade implementing a clean keto/low carb paleo lifestyle and having spent even longer on the research, I can honestly say there is nothing I have seen, heard, come across or personally experienced that was not in some way improved by it. 

 

It’s easy to fall into the trap of labelling ways of eating as something to identify with, and that is something I try to avoid, as ways of eating become trends over time and their true benefits forgotten. It has been shown that the documented ketogenic benefits can still occur at higher protein ratios, and fat intake does not have to be exorbitantly high, in order to reap the benefits. The benefits and healing properties that low carbohydrate, high fat have on the body are real. I’m here to help you gain a deeper and more holistic understanding of what your body needs to function optimally. It’s not a trend, let’s not let it become one.
